Bharatanatyam

Among the numerous dance styles practised in India, Bharatanatyam is one of the most major and the most perfect; its teaching has been passed down from master to pupil for over two thousand years. It embodies the Indian concept of worshipping and celebrating the infinite and eternal Universe through the beauty of the physical body. In times gone by this dance was performed exclusively in the temples by the "Devadasi", while in current times Bharatanatyam has virtually left places of worship in preference for the stage. Stretching Tandava

Tandava Stretching is a technique that works the whole body based on yoga, classic stretching and the Graham method. Its aim is to tone the entire body, but also to relax knotted muscles and release tension built up by the stresses and strains of daily life. Stretching can be practised by itself or as a complement to other sports; it will help correct muscular problems and can also decrease tension. It can also harmonise the body, mind and spirit, at each individual's pace. More info on this page.
